In August we hosted an Architectural Design workshop with local children, led by visual artist and architect Steven Santander from New York.
The workshop brings together children who speak both Romanian and English—some growing up in the rural community, others coming from diaspora to visit their grandparent. This diversity creates a cultural exchange not only among the children themselves but also between them and the artist. The workshop is part of our artist residency program, which facilitates direct contact between local children and international artists. We believe that encounters with professionals from different fields can offer inspiration, open up new perspectives, and give young people the courage to imagine diverse personal paths.
We aim to extend the access to creative education in rural areas and strengthening connections across generations and communities. Our goal is to provide children with the tools to imagine and build their future as freely and creatively as possible.
Workshops made possible with the support of Dot Design Studio.
